Diogo was on the right track, though there is one minor detail that will make the difference between the CSS working and not working.

Resizing Images in CSS

Images in Discover use CSS classes to dictate their size. We use two classes depending on the dimensions of each image: \".landscape\" (for wide images) and \".portrait\" (for tall images). Using just the base \"img\" element selector as Diogo described won't actually work in this case because of CSS specificity (our .landscape or .portrait class selectors will override the img selector because they are more specific).

By default, landscape images are set to use 75% of its parent container's width (for our purposes the parent container is the element with the \".question-width-container\" class).

To override Discovers default styles, simply redefine them using the same selectors.

For example, this CSS will make every landscape image in your entire survey take the full width.

img.landscape {   \n  max-width: 100%;\n}

For a smaller image size, you could change 100% for something like 25% or 50px for example. You may use percentages or pixels to define image sizes.

If you only want to adjust images on one question (leaving all other landscape images set to the default size) then you can use something like this:

*[question=\"Q1\"] img.landscape {\n  max-width: 100%;\n}

This includes a CSS selector that basically says only landscape images on your Q1 question will have the 100% max-width applied. At risk of stating the obvious here, but change \"Q1\" to match the name of your question for it to apply correctly in your survey.

Centering the Image in Question Text

The easiest way to center-align your image is like what Brian said: Make sure you select the image by clicking and dragging, then use the rich text editor alignment buttons—just clicking the alignment button while the cursor is next to the image doesn't work.
