I have two latent class analysis models. One uses all of the responses, and the other excludes poor quality responses. Would you consider the smaller model that excludes poor quality responses as nested within the first model that includes all responses? That is, would it be appropriate to compare the log likelihoods (or any of the other fit statistics) of the two models to see which one "fits" the data better?
nested models, poor quality responses, and model fit
