I want to know In Anchored Maxdiff Direct Method, as per the sawtooth papers, how ImpItems is coded. As per the sawtooth paper ImpItems is a 2 point rating question but nowhere its mentioned if 1 is important and 2 is Unimportant. Determining the Anchor threshold with ImpItems_r1 > 1 (as discussed in the paper)is confusing as I am not sure whether to go towarsd the negative side of the positive side of the anchor. Please elaborate and help on this.
