I do not have SPSS but my assigned values are pretty important since they have been used in many other surveys. I am trying to download in SPSS then import into SAS. This seems to work well and I can view the data. However, as soon as I save and close the data in SAS, I cannot reopen and get an error message that the file cannot be opened. I have had a colleague try it with the same result. Any ideas?
