Hi
I'm experiencing several issues with Generate Data, used from the Test menu.
1) defined values for the password text variable are ignored, which means it is not possible to test required questionnaire routing logic. I'm forced to skip this question because otherwise the process fails from the first page. Here are some screenshots to illustrate this point:
2) The process stops generating answers seemingly at random, despite specifying completion rate = 100% and answer rate for non-required questions = 100%.
3) In particular it seems to hang at "other - specify" questions where it is required to reply to an open-end question when an "other" option is chosen from a select list. I've tried to tell it what text to enter for these but it still seems to get stuck.
4) When I tried generating 1000 responses without using the browser it produced only 1 complete with various drop-off points spread across the questionnaire despite specifying completion rate = 100% and answer rate for non-required questions = 100%.
5) Generating data using the borwser seems to work a bit better, at least it shows where problems occur, but the problems don't seem to be related to the questionnaire design, they seem to be issues with the data generation process. In many cases the data generation process skips an open-end question at the beginning although a response is required and a defined value was specified.
6) Javascript verification is part of the programming of the questionnaire for several questions, which I have turned off because I understand that this is not supported by the data generation process. Issues 1-5 are not related to Javascript verification.
Please help. Generate data is a really useful feature but at the moment it does not seem to be working.
I look forward to your reply.
Kind regards
