'None' utility estimation and the alternative specific constant

How does Lighthouse estimate the 'None' utility for HB, logit, and LCA for a DCE, and how is this different from the alternative specific constant? I have read a few of the posts in this forum, I have looked through the Latent Class Technical Paper V4.8, and skimmed "Becoming an Expert in Conjoint Analysis," but I still don't understand how it is estimated, what the alternative specific constant is in the context of 'None', and whether the alternative specific constant appears in a model that doesn't have a 'None' option.

Transparently, I am working on a revise-and-resubmit for a manuscript that used LCA, and one of the reviewers asked "Please specify how was the opt-out introduced in the model. I was expecting an alternative specific constant, but I don’t see it in the results." So while I am interested in understanding this more fully, I also only need to understand it enough to respond to that comment.

Thank you for your help!
