Ranking Question (Vertical Sorter) with NOT APPLICABLE Check Box and OTHER PLEASE SPECIFY

I have a ranking question using the SORT VERTICALLY format.

My list includes 7 items + OTHER (please specify) + NOT APPLICABLE.

I believe I can use the NOT APPLICABLE question library feature to place a check box below the ranking question to clear the ranked items when the check box is clicked. Do you agree? Happy to hear your thoughts on that.

I noticed this type of ranking question does not allow for OTHER (please specify). Do you have a solution to add this in?

To add to the dilemma, the respondent must rank all 7 items. The OTHER (please specify) is optional. If OTHER (please specify) is ranked, a comment must be typed in. So 7 items must be ranked (excluding OTHER), or 8 items must be ranked (including OTHER).

If the check box is clicked, it must clear all ranked items and the OTHER comments.
