I ran a CBC study (in LS 9.11.0) with 4 attributes: 3 alternatives and a None option.
I exported and manipulated the data:
• used respondent's responses to insert respondent-specific values for some of the 4 attributes for the none option.
• created some new attributes which have values of zero for the 3 alternatives and respondent-specific values (based on responses to questions) in the none option.
These changes have impacts on the design of course, but they are essentially making explicit what (we hope was) in the respondent's mind when comparing the None option with the 3 alternatives - logit model results look intuitive and plausible.
What I want to do is bring this modified data (changes in attribute values in None option/ additional attributes and their values) back into Lighthouse Studio to estimate HB models and use the Simulator.
I am not sure how to do this, or if I can.
I thought perhaps make a copy of the study and generate a CBC with the additional attributes and import a design file (with the number of versions equal to the number of respondents) which has the appropriate, modified, attributes/levels for each version/respondent.
Not sure if that will work and/or there are other things I need to do or bear in mind - I am not sure about combining the existing choice data with the 'new' CBC design.
thanks
Dan
