I have a questionnaire with 35 statements to go through a maxdiff excercise. There is a prior question where I work out which statements to include in this excercise so I'm thinking this is a relevant items maxdiff setup. The problem is when I construct a list there could be anywhere between 1 and 35 statements to include. Am thinking of showing 5 statements per screen but have no idea how many screens to show because if a respondent is to be shown 35 statements, I would ideally want them to see these statements 3 times which would result in a lot of screens but on the other hand if only 5-10 statements are to be shown then there would be less. (I'm not sure what happens if 5 or less statements are to be shown, does the maxdiff excercise skip altogether?)
Any help on how to approach this would be appreciated.
