If you are trying to create an error in the BYO page when the respondent's choices lead to a summed price of zero then first you will have to place an empty text question on the same page as the BYO exercise (directly below it).

Then place the following code in the footer of that text page:

This will create a variable that contains the value inside the total price box, and its name will be whatever the name of the text question is followed by _price.

So if my text question was called Q1 then the name would be called Q1_price.

Then on that same text page click the advanced button, open the custom javascript verification window and place the following code on it:

if(SSI_GetValue(\"Q1_price\") == \"0\")
{
strErrorMessage = \"Price is 0\";
}

In this code, you will just have to replace the Q1_price with your _ price variable name (as per the explanation I gave above) and it should create an error and prevent the respondent from going on to the next question if the summed price for the BYO is 0.
